Become a guardian of Buffalo history - by sponsoring an artifact, you support the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society. Funds from the Adopt an Artifact program support a wide range of Historical Society activities, including the preservation and maintenance of our treasured artifacts, and the development of new exhibits and educational programming through our Annual Fund. Your contribution is tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Steps to becoming a sponsor:

• Choose an artifact. Note: some artifacts are not currently on public display, but as a sponsor, you may view your adopted artifact by appointment.
• Determine your donor level: $25, $50, $100, $250, $500 or $1,000
• Complete the form and pay online or, if you prefer, print out the form and mail it with your payment.
• You will receive a personalized artifact adoption certificate, featuring a photograph of your adopted artifact and a description of its history.
